Skin Tag Removal, removal of a benign growth or moles is a common request by patients for cosmetic reasons. Other times, a patient may want them removed because it is irritating their skin. There are different techniques or ways for removing these depending on the type of growth and where it is located.
At Skintellect, growths are removed by simply cutting or scrapping the raised part of the growth. This is followed by cauterization using a Fine Electrical Laser Pen. This technique ensures precision while burning the growth keeping the surrounding areas intact. It also significantly decreases the risk of scarring.
Our removal method is safe for ALL skin types!

DPNs (Dermatosis papulosa nigra), a variation of Seborrheic Keratosis, is a common and benign skin condition where tiny, dark, raised bumps develop on the skin. This skin condition is very common affecting mostly dark sky types. DPN also occurs among Asians, Polynesians and Latin and Native Americans with darker skin tones.
These spots usually start appearing during adolescence as freckle-like bumps. They are smooth in the beginning and gradually grow rougher with time. As you grow older, the bumps might increase in size and number.
DPNs are likely to be genetically determined with 40–50% of patients having a family history.
This dark coloured papules arise mainly on the cheeks and forehead but they may also be found on the neck, upper back and chest.
Burning it off : A Fine Laser Pen issues electric current to burn off the upper layers of the skin where the growths are attached. The heat also helps prevent bleeding, it improves healing and halts regrowth.
After treatment you can expect redness and some scabbing, almost as if the DPNs are still there, but once these areas of treatment heal, patients are typically very happy with the results and notice smother skin as soon as one week following treatment. You may need more than one treatment to remove a mole. This method of removal is also used for flat moles that are brown or black in color and small in size.
