Endermology

Endermology is a non-invasive procedure, FDA approved technology that smooths out cellulite, tones the body and improves overall appearance of the skin. It can also improve circulation, relieve minor muscular aches, improve skin tone and skin radiance.

Cellulite often shows up as dimpling on the skin, sometimes called the “cottage cheese” look, even in those who are fit. The look of cellulite does not necessarily diminish with weight loss, and liposuction fails to address this top layer of fat under the skin.

Endermology uses rollers that often feel like a deep tissue massage, over problem areas of the skin. At the same time, suction is used to redistribute the skin and remove dimpling.

Typically, it is used on the thighs, hips, buttocks, abdomen and arms. It is a safe treatment for any body area.

A typical Endermology session lasts approximately 30-45 minutes, concentrating on problem areas. It usually requires a series of sessions to see best results. An average of 3 to 6 consecutive sessions is required to start to see visual results.

Once you have achieved your goal, most patients require follow up treatment to maintain the smooth skin look.

Side effects, if any, are minimal and may involve light bruising (rare) or soreness in the area(s) treated. Check out Ultrasound Cavitation article.
