Sculptra® is an injectable collagen stimulator used to gradually restore facial volume and improve skin firmness by stimulating your body’s natural collagen production. Unlike traditional dermal fillers that provide immediate volume, Sculptra® works over time to rebuild the skin’s underlying structure for long-lasting, natural-looking rejuvenation.
Sculptra® helps restore lost facial volume, improve skin firmness and elasticity, soften fine lines and wrinkles, and enhance overall facial structure. Results develop gradually and can last significantly longer than traditional fillers, creating a subtle, natural rejuvenation effect.
Sculptra® is made from poly-L-lactic acid (PLLA), a biocompatible substance that stimulates collagen production deep within the skin. Once injected, it helps rebuild the skin’s structural foundation over time. As new collagen forms, volume is gradually restored and skin becomes firmer and smoother.
Unlike hyaluronic acid fillers like Juvéderm® or Restylane®, Sculptra® does not provide immediate volume. Instead, it stimulates your body’s own collagen production for gradual, long-term improvement. Results look more natural over time and typically last longer than traditional fillers.
Sculptra® treatment typically takes 30–45 minutes. The product is injected into targeted areas using a fine needle or cannula. A topical numbing agent or injectable lidocaine may be used to enhance comfort. After treatment, the area is gently massaged to help distribute the product evenly.
There is minimal downtime. Mild swelling, bruising, or tenderness at injection sites is common and typically resolves within a few days. Patients can usually return to normal activities immediately.
